LE FIVE partners La Vie Au Grand Air !

LE FIVE Paris 13 witnessed an amazing match on Wednesday 5 February. The friendly contest brought together two teams, with youngsters from La Vie au Grand Air Foundation and their instructors playing against a team of staff from LE FIVE, kicking off a tight-knit partnership between LE FIVE and the foundation.

The initiative is underpinned by a common belief that sport should be something open to everyone because it is a powerful source of social integration and cohesion; and because it brings people together and fosters ties that can dissolve differences.

La Vie au Grand Air is a key contributor to child welfare, providing shelter, safety and support for kids of all ages in the face of difficulty or danger.

The partnership will open up our facilities to the foundation and put sport within easy reach, especially for children.

Joseph Viéville, co-founder of LE FIVE: "This was a natural step for us. It's even one of the reasons we created our company in the first place: to ensure children of all ages have a place to play, whatever else is going on in their lives. Like La Vie au Grand Air, we believe sport  provides plenty of life lessons and its team approach builds strength. We've been a team player since the start."

Philippe Creppy, chairman of La Vie au Grand Air : "Expanding our support for young people onto the pitch in partnership with LE FIVE makes sense and meets three goals: one, it allows the kids to grow in a connected activity; two, it gives them an opportunity to rebuild and develop social ties; and three, it provides a mouthpiece for the campaign to support disadvantaged youth."

The partnership with La Vie au Grand Air foundation includes free admission to LE FIVE facilities and is a real win in the eyes of Naëlle, Anissa, Wyllem, Idriss and Gwendal: "I haven't played football for ages. It feels good to get back into it and know we'll be able to play more often."

The idea is to give these young people the same chances that others have, allowing them to build ties and meet people outside of the world of child welfare.

The upcoming initiatives and events will give us an opportunity to rally support and raise awareness of the need to protect children, while reminding everyone that childhood is something that concerns us all.
